Who uses them and for what types of spaces? What types of things do you usually find with them (presence/absence, nests, bats, potential access points, etc.)? I am considering purchasing one, but not sure which one to go with or how much I would use it. Anybody care to share what they are using and how often it comes into play?

We have used an underwater aqua view camera for many years with a 50' cord lots of times for inspecting chimneys and other areas for animals and birds. We also have a smaller hand held Ryobi with a 3 ft. flexible arm for walls and other shorter inspection needs.

There is a place for both types of cameras in our work.

I hadn't thought of using an aqua view. Certainly lots of cord on those.

Here is what I used recently that worked really well actually. I had a critter in a chimney and wasnt sure what it was so in order to set the right size trap I wanted to see what was down there. I took an older smart phone I had and wasnt using (it was a cheapo refurbished samsung tracfone) and clamped it in a large woodworking clamp. I taped a small flashlight to the side of the clamp and tied a length of paracord to the clamp. Turned on the flashlight, put it on video mode and lowered it down into the chimney. Left it down there and spun the cord around a bit to take a look around. Brought it up sat on the roof with my 2 boys and watched the video. Boom, there was a gray squirrel, mystery solved! We joked that the only thing missing was a tub of popcorn!
