I don't smoke. Never did. But I don't care if others do. What I am sick of is the rules, laws, regulations, policies that are designed to control me. You make your decisions and I will make mine.
Is not wearing a seat belt or helmet stupid? I think so. But it isn't for you to tell me what to do. If you want to be stupid, do it. But don't tell me what I should be doing.
Politician have have always been on board with this. It gives them more power. They can impose fines, taxes, confiscate property.
I get speeding tickets a lot. I fight every one. The DA told the judge I was dangerous. I asked the DA to provide me with a list of all the injured and dead people and dollar amount of damage I had ever caused. The DA stood there like the slack jawed stooge he was. Judge threw out the case.
The point is just because you think something is stupid, dumb or reckless, doesn't mean it is. It may be, for you. It just your opinion, a fact that's seems al too often forgotten today.
It used to come down to this: What a man could do and what a man couldn't do.
The males in this country for the most part have forgotten or never knew how to be men.
Heck you can't even say what you want on this forum. We have to have "chaperones" or we might upset somebody! And hurting someone's feelings these days... Well that just makes you a criminal...
As for the lady smoking on an O2 tank, I would have offered her a light.
