Think bat exclusion with a bait hive for them to move into.

The blue things are bee escapes. Basically a one way. The upper (left since the photo is rotated) is fully installed. The lower is just the base minus the cover.
The hive contains a three frame split (three frames of brood and bees) and the evicted bees from the house will migrate to the hive.

You don't. She either dies inside from attrition or absconds with whatever small cohort remains with her when the decision to abscond is made.

Trap outs can be very effective if you have the time (sometimes up to 5-6 weeks}. Another way to trap bees is to catch swarms in your bait hive. Bee removal can make a dollar if you know what your doing. Jim
