I am looking at a #4 or #14 with teeth. The pan has the V cut out of it. I cannot find any where that Oneida made one of these with teeth after they started stamping the pans with the V cut out of them. Did they? I so what is the approximate vales. It is a good shape the spring is a little wavy according to the pictures though. Thanks for any input.

Animal Trap Company made a # 14 jump. # 4 size with teeth. Made from about 1925 to the 1970s,

Before 1925 Oneida Community made a # 14 jump with the V cut out of the pan.

Both traps are fairly common - value depending on condition would be $15.00 to $35.00

Ok thanks wissmiss, the book I have shows the #4 and 14. It just doesn't state that either were made with teeth in that time frame. Only in the earlier dates without the V cut out of them. I am just getting into collecting a few traps its nice there are individuals here that are willing to help with information. Thanks again!!

I guess I'm a little bit confused about what you are writing.

There are 6 sizes of jump (single under spring) traps made by OC and then ATCo that have the V cut out of the pan.

0, 1, 1 1/2, 2, 3, 4.

The 3 larger sizes also came in models with teeth. Those are # 12, # 13, # 14,

A "4 jump pan would fit a "14 trap just perfect as they are the same except for the number.

My book is The Trap Collectors Guide. In the Oneida section the only #4's and #14's that show in this book with teeth were made from 1904 - 1908 with a rectangle pan, double spring. 1908 - 10 solid rectangle pan, double spring. This book doesn't show any of the #4's and #14 made with teeth after that. Unless they just don't show this. When did Oneida stop making jump traps without teeth? I thought they made jumps with teeth a lot longer, this book can be confusing. Is there more books with more information in them a person can get?

Who is the author of your book?

Andre ski & Parr

Frodelius & Burt

Vance

Oneida single under spring traps without teeth were last made in the 1980s. Except for the # 2 which was discontinued earlier.

If you are looking in Andreski & Parrs book, looking Oneida jump, over a full page, showing where made and time frame.

Any Oneida jump listed as a # 12, # 13, # 14 will have teeth.

According to that book, the last Oneida jump traps were made in 1980 by Woodstream Corporation.

Yes I have the Andreski & Parrs book. I really enjoy it. I didn't realize that the #12, 13, and 14's all had teeth. Thanks for all the information. Its nice even being old I can still learn. LOL!
