Go across the river east to Hudson WI. Quick trip to St. Paul, see what you think of that area. I loved Hudson along the St crois River.

I left a couple carcasses in the back of my truck once when visiting a buddy in Toronto.
Only took a couple hours before the little Jamaican kids found them and were playing with them out in the street, throwing them in front of traffic, lol.
You can have a lot of fun in the city interacting with other cultures.

There is some really good trapping opportunities within a reasonable driving distance of the metro area.

What the heck did you do? Most of the kids at Lino are either released or transferred at less than half that time.

Yep got to where they would not send them out of State in the later years when the budgets got tight they wanted to keep them in State. Rasmey Co was the biggest provider at that time.

I always stay near here when I visit. Very nice place and allows hunting and fishing. Would be cool to live close to.

Not sure about trapping it though...

I would not move to MN for any amount of money. This state is one step behind Cal.

Me, I'd live in the Norwood/Young America area, or Cologne, Faribault, Vessily, Lonsdale, Farmington, Buffalo etc. You can still buy houses in the country if you aren't opposed to driving 40 50 miles a day to work plus traffic. Traffic is the killer.

Norwood Young America is definitely a good option. Very good community from what I've experienced.

Cal.... agreed on cost of living. The tax game was for working stiffs. Something about paying state taxes in both states at tax time. I may be off i dont remember specifics. What i do remember was it was sort of a dbl jeapirdy. You got tagged for living in wi. And tagged for working in mn. Was dating a gal that was caught up in this. As did my old mans co worker. If you're going to do this commute i'd look into it. One retired the other moved over it, the original savings were gone, it cost her more at the end of the year.

I commute to the cities when working in the office from Somerset Wi. Great place to live. Plenty of homes to the north in the country. Quiet, peaceful and animals galore. Wouldnt do it any other way. Grew up in Hudson and left 27 yrs ago. Wouldn't think of going back.

Hudson is booming and has a great little downtown area. Buying now anything near the St. Croix river will only grow in value. We have an office in Eau Claire but tend to hold events in Hudson.

Anywhere where you have to take I-94 from the west into the metro SUCKS. The traffic is horrible both morning and afternoon. Elk River, Monticello, St. Michael, etc. are some of the towns I would avoid.
