In a perfect world, SAM could lobby Gov LePage to work with the Trump Administration to resolve this non-sense of an endangered specie. The Wikipedia definition of endangered specie is as follows; " An endangered species is a species which has been categorized to become extinct"

Today's first run of the whole line netted a large weasel, with some brown still on the back

How often will you be running your line?

Running a 3 day check right now because I have some sets in organized towns. Once it gets colder I will go to a 5 day check in just unorganized towns. A 3 day check is hard right now with school, but I'm making it work.

Been focusing on hunting until the fur gets better. Got my deer opening day, been hunting expanded since. Been putting a good hurting on the geese too but can't wait to set some traps. Lots of places lined up this year.

Only do a 3 day check for one stretch of the week. I do daily checks for the rest of the week.

Seems like it should be a good year for otter. Sign is plentiful.

Alex, what sign are you seeing with otter? With the exception of toilets and crossovers, otter do not leave much sign.

Fresh water clam shells is one sign but muskrats also eat those as well.

Toilets mostly, as well as seeing otters themselves

Sorry I don't have a picture of the box I caught him in. Nice catch with the coni pans. It is something new I am trying. The trap is a victor 120. The box is a standard 4x4 opening wooden box.
