Less than I hoped for when I headed out this morning, but I'll take it. Clear skies and not a breath of wind.....it was a beautiful day on the line.

I see you have one ermine that is still slightly brown. We're the other two solid white Jeremiah?

Thanks, Alex

I bet that was interesting! The first week they were just tipping the boxes over. This week fewer bears, but they're hungrier.....working harder to get to the bait!

Are you finding one size of box to be more productive than another?

Thanks, Alex

Too early to tell I think. Half of my boxes are 120, half 160 size. Can't tell any difference yet. A little more snow will help see if I'm getting any refusals. Fur doesn't seem to be moving much right now.

Hey JWood, if you are driving by my place you have seen that my boxes are still on the porch. When are the bears going in? Where did you find snow? I might start in a week or so.

The majority of mine are 120 size, with the exception of one 160 size. I have about a 50/50 mix of wood and wire boxes, and am anxious to see which proves to be more effective.

Thanks, Alex

Haha yes....been eyeing those boxes and wondering when you'll put them out and show me where the marten are!!! There's still an inch or so of snow in the higher elevations - starting about 10-15 miles dirt road from your place. Bears are starting to settle down - no problems on half of my line today and only one fresh track in the snow. Hopefully by next week they'll all be sleeping.

Never got him.

Can't find the photo of the marten at the box. I also, had two DH Sets there. Did catch a squirrel and someone ate it.

Hopefully this little bit of snow we are getting will get the fur moving and show some tracks
