Some of the best cheese curds in Wisconsin are at a factory on hwy 10 a couple miles west of town. Always stop an get a few pounds when passing through that area.

LOL, the event is next year. That's a long time to bring it to the top. It'll have plenty of exposure as the event gets closer.

The FurTakers 50th Anniversary Convention will be Thursday, June 28 - Saturday, June 30 at the Central Wiscosnin Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Plan to stay the night on Saturday night so you can join us for the Trapperman Feed and stick around for the auction!

This my chance to do another national TMan Feed here in Wisconsin, and I sure hope I get to meet more of you who travel to conventions. Come on up to cheeseland! (We won't be up in Escanaba.)

I'm thinking it will be a "can't miss" event.

It'll probably be the last national convention for which I organize a feed. The logistics make it really difficult to plan a feed at an out of state location. I know what I have to work with at Marshfield. It's a good spot that works for us.

It will be different to have the Feed on Saturday night, but that's what works for the FTA schedule and we'll try to do our best. If we do this right, maybe we'll draw more people who will be there Saturday night for their auction too. That's a win-win.

You guys should plan to stay Saturday night and overeat and visit and make the drive home Sunday morning!

By having it on Saturday night; It may? hopefully? convince some of the vendors to stay all day Saturday and not pack up early.

I know Paul is staying over Saturday night, but I'm not sure that changes what time he starts to pack up his stuff. I'm just glad he's able to stay and join us!

Maybe some others won't pack up so early if they know they're staying.

The D9 Black Sheep are getting into position.
We already have 6 to 10 people signed up for Labor Camp.
We already have 150 pounds of pork coming from Robert Waddell.
We already have arrangements for the seasoning and smoking of the pork.

Just noticed that Tom & Nancy Oar from Mountain Men will be at the Fur Takers' Rendezvous!!!

As soon as I get my district rendezvous wrapped up in Reedsburg on Saturday, I will switch gears to start organizing this Trapperman Feed for the end of June.

I know that right now, many of you are already thinking about what you would love to bring to our Feed. I will start an official thread and get it organized soon! I can't wait to see so many of you there!!!
