If you are over 6 feet tall, do yourself a big favor and order your trailer and add 1 foot of height to it
I've had mine for a while so not sure of current cost but it only cost me an additional $130 to add the additional 1 foot

And if you are going to move taller items, even doors have the 1 foot added

Well, we pulled the trigger on a 7' X 12' X 6'6" H single axle today. Aluminum wheels, black. Not really my choice of color, but for $2800 new, I didn't think I could go wrong. It does have a couple of hail dings, but I'd rather have the $650 in my pocket than a pristine trailer..LOL

On the contrary, I paid a lot of attention to what you had to say. You made it known that one should run a double axle if planning on hauling a lot of weight with any frequency, particularly if on gravel (trailer brakes being a must). Well, I do not plan on pulling an overloaded trailer on gravel, nor on the highway. This trailer is going to be used to make 4 or maybe 5 long distance trips on hard surfaced roads to move personal property, then it is going to sit in my back yard as a "storage unit". Heck, I'm considering pulling the axle from under it and making it an ice shack, mebbe. Another axle would be 2X as much work! laugh

Be sure to have jack that works for the trailer and a spare that's good. I see single axle trailers by side of road frequently, apparently while the user is off chasing a tire and wheel. When in use for storage, I'd just set the frame on blocks and pull the wheels off, easy to put back in use if plans change and tires will last longer in a shed than on the ground.
