I know guys who have been on the force for almost 30 years and imo, still suck at their job. Experience is the best teacher I'm sure you're well aware of that but is that good or bad experience? Who's to be the judge of that. I wouldn't sweat the small stuff, life is too damnnnn short to be getting offended by a personality on a forum.

I enjoy reading BuckNE's posts, they're entertaining and he makes quite a few valid points.

He is a legend in his mind.....only. The only guy that is an expert at marketing fur, and hasn't even trapped the last few years. He talks a lot about it, but always has an excuse why it didn't work for him. He has quite a reputation in his home area as being a know it all.

Buck and I work in the same industry. Our busy times are January to June and August to December. I love to trap but don't have the time anymore. I've never met Buck personally but like his insight and knowledge. My father is much the same kind of person. Smartest man I have ever met (think outdoorsmans Sheldon Cooper) He has been called a braggart, blowhard, know it all, (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)h*le etc. In my fathers case some of it is true but when he tells you something or gives you an answer you can take it to the bank 99.99% of the time. Some people percieve knowledge and know how as BS. Fact is it's their own insecurities that keep them from accepting the truth and thats the true crime.

I never met Buck, but he never disrespected me or called me a thief. So I think I could sit down and have a drink and an intelligent conversation with him.
Now for that guy from NY that will not reveal his name other than walleyed, but still voices an opinion about Buck and has called me a thief and worse on this forum. Well, who the he## are you?

Pretty easy to beat up on a guy when he's not around to beat back !!
Where were all these enlightened facts about Buck when he was making replies?

He always seemed ready to engage a bad thread full of garbage, and he always seemed well enough to stand of all comers, I don't see that as a bad thing really.

Most people who leave or say they leave here never do, they may sign off but most still lurk, they always give it away on other forums, with out even thinking about it.

Buck is probably enjoying this round about on his personality I'm sure !!

I'm with GritGuy.

It's sure easy to make comments when you're pretty sure you goin' ta be accountable.

Me?; I'll save my comments until I again have the pleasure of engaging the guy.

I'm not a big trapper (100 skins a season) but it is easy to be online most of the day with my iPhone. Most of my post are from it, pics and videos too.
