Last night at our firearms training class one of the instructors reported that a few days ago, he spotted a wolverine running along a neighbor's corn field. He couldn't believe it and thought his eyes were deceiving him until a neighbor spotted it crossing the road by his place.

Now you'll have to put up with it, like the Lynx . grin

Many of these "wolverine" sightings around my area turn out to be fisher.

I was thinking a fisher too. I've had one in my yard lately. My wife saw it coming down our driveway one night and said there was a small bear in the driveway.

Sometimes it can get real hairy if you have an endangered species known to be in your region. The lynx deal a decade or so ago should be something you need to remember. We do here as the WTA sent nearly 10K to defend trapping in northern MN.

Wolverines move in an extremely unique motion. If you have ever seen it there would be no confusing it with another critter. Also the size difference compared to a fisher and the tail would be obvious depending on the distance.

Yes. Motion and movement observed in detail can strike the senses immediately.
