I took part in it years ago when I was a younger fellow and still had horses, not sure how it is done nowadays but back then they took volunteers, I don't know how entertaining it would be to watch but taking part sure was worth the drive.

If you could get close enough, I bet it would be really neat to watch the bison being rounded up. I have always thought bison were really starely, beautiful animals. I like longhorn cattle, which I have, too. If I had lots more money and better fence, I would ad bison, elk and watutsi or watutsi/longhorn crosses.

Sometimes I see bison for sale for very reasonable prices and and am tempted, but I need to wait until I get nearly, indestructible, escape proof fence.

It's a big deal here really it's a honor to get invited to take part in the roundup it would be something to see for sure just I have been in the park hunting turkey and elk so much I have seen a bunch.

Nothing wakes a guy up then walking into a small meadow during the archery elk season and your 20 yards from 2 buffalo giving you the evil eye!

During the last elk hunt we had to walk through a herd of a few hundred in the dark that was not fun had to walk out in the dark the same way.

I went there a couple of years ago. Those critters sure are big. Do they sell the ones rounded up or just more them somewhere else?

KeithC if and when you do get buffalo, remember that they can jump a cattle guard from a stand still, I've watched it a few different times. The biggest secret to keep buffalo inside your fence is keep them happy with a lot of area to explore, good water and feed.
And NEVER take a dog along to round them up they will try to kill it.
That round up does look interesting that's for sure.

They do corral and work blood I'm sure they test for TB they get that often in some herds! The excess animals are sold off they just get free labor rounding them up.

Kind of reminds a guy for that Tom Sawyer picket fence chapter.
