I recently bought a box full of old traps. It had a couple that interest me and one that has thrown me for a loop. I thought this was a B&L double-underspring that are very common. It may have been made by them but I'm uncertain about it's lineage. As you can see, the pan, which looks original, is clearly stamped "Oneida Community". I know there was some mix up with transition from Oneida to ATC and somewhere along the way Victor became the trap name. I don't know the particulars but I am interested in how this trap fits into that picture. I fully expect this to be worth $4 on the used market so anything beyond that is a surprise.

It looks like a Oneida #2 jump double spring. Made 1908 - 1910. The only thing I can find that fits, except it calls out a rectangular pan with rounded ends. If this is what it is it is worth more than $4. I am new to this but this is all I can find that fits. Anybody else?

I just Added the same trap to my collection yesterday. It looks to be correct and original to me. It is an Oneida Community #2 Jump. These were also made in other sizes. I have a 2 1/2 - 3 and 4. I would value the trap at $20 to $30.

I have several of these and it looks right to me. Not sure about the connection of the chain to the trap. Mine are different I believe.
Yours has a good pan and is worth well more than $4. Don't clean it more than has already been done.....
