yessir,still mostly brown and had a chippy in his mouth.figure the extra weight plus the set being a step down is the only way he sprung it..they look funny suitcased in a #2 bridger

Taking a break from skinning figured I'd give ya guys a update on the rat line so 19 rats plus the 5 from the first days check puts me at 24 so far water level is back to normal making it easier to find runs I caught 11 today best day so far on this pond had one rat with its face half eaten off hoping to catch the culprit on the thanksgiving day check tmrw but I better get back to skinning have a good thanksgiving everyone

I remove all ear cartilage sell or tanned. the fur in the front just came off the boards and there ears always flop back a little. It doesn't take much longer than fur market way and looks a whole lot better to me

How wide are your Grey Fox boards?

Wetdog, how many traps did you have set for a 3 day trapline to catch that bunch?

Hern,i have or can get about any size board pattern you could want.my buddy gives them to me as he finds them from his board selling days.

The fur market way at least in the nafa fur handling manual is to remove all ear cartilage. I always remove mine. I have been to auction where most are not and I also like looks of Remove better.

sx2- I do and don't remove ear cartilage. Never been docked on price and have Top Lot Awards with cartilage in, as well.

2 doz traps 3 days scouted and tested heavy. No pics on the line to dark at 530 for my crap phone. Only set the best 10 sites I have. I ended up using 42 traps total because I don't remake anything but fox catch's. Everything else is fresh trap outside catch circles. It's what I've learned from tracks in the snow.
