Who's ready? 2.5 weeks and it will be time to hunt.

What will these two score? Which one would you spend more time hunting?

Hope things are good for everyone!

Daytime buck 150s maybe bigger, and the other 160s. I'd be happy to take either. Good luck

Same as GritGuy. Both nice bucks. Lose the velvet and get a big neck and they shrink up quickly. Cammeras tend to make them look bigger as well.

Hoo boy, I like them both. The first one has good long main beams and good width and will probably score a little better than the second but personally I like the mass, long tines, and symmetry of the second. I honestly cant give you a better guess at net scores than have been given unless I could put a tape to them both (and I would love to).

Id like to see them out of velvet. That top deer is pushing 170 and the bottom one is dang close, if not all of 180

Top one yes. Bottom one didn't try.

Top one is 6.5 this year.

10 point is 5.5 this year. Not sure if I'd shoot him or not. From my experience you really need to let them get to 6.5 to see their maximum potential. Sure it's more common to see a 5.5 year old and easier to kill but the majority I've seen have maxed out at 6.5.

Your thoughts are closet to mine, including hunting only when the wind is right.

Top one is 22 points. I'm saying main frame 10 that will go 160ish. 12 extra points at average 3" each. 160 plus 36" trash equals 196" plus or minus.

Bottom one I'm right with you...175" Boone 10 point

Top one has lots of junk to add and without all the stuff is probably 170ish clean. Bottom is hard to say as mass is deceptive but is pushing B&C. Depends on who you are, where you can hunt and what you e killed to date. All personal goals. Both are huge by 99% of hunters standards. I consider anything over 150" really really nice and will shoot 135" all day with my history. May change someday. Hunt both, good to have 3-4 properties/bucks to not burn any out.

Velvet scoring is tough! The first buck has a TON of stuff going on around the bases and brows. Plus some kickers of the G's. He's going to score very close to 180 with all the extra trash is my guess. The second buck is also going to be right there around 180 as a clean 10. What he loses in main beam length to the first buck, he makes up for in mass. Both are outstanding bucks! I'd have a hard time sleeping knowing they are both around!

You have an the opportunity to hunt both (or either) of these bucks...what you have is a "first world" hunter problem. I'd say I sympathize with your dilemma, but I don't. I'll go out to my small parcel in Penn's Woods and hope for a either a fat doe or a decent 6-pointer.

Good luck.

Ah doesn't matter to me, they're only deer. If these two get shot then I'll find another one to hunt.
