Couldn't get the deer off my brain so I was still waiting for a big buck at noon yesterday. Too bad it was white so I had to shoot with the camera.

only 34 today so catch ratio was going up not any more haha i was moving into a new area of the marsh the skim ice killed me today also got another mink

the last guy left pulled yesterday so im all alone haha last year i was froze out on december 7th i believe dont think we will make it that long this year but ya never know hope i can get a few more hundred before it goes

ice was bad today! around half inch most traps were frozen in only 26 but strangely that number brings me exactly to 1100 haha oh well all the ice was pretty well melted by the time i left should be better tomorrow

well it has been a few days that darn freeze thaw shut them down pretty good last 2 days were 9 and 17 rats finally opened up real good with that t shirt weather yesterday so toady had 50 bringing me to 1220 hope everyone else is having fun!

I am going back in the water tomorrow afternoon. The rivers are private land and the hunters have been busy the last week or so.

Rats, I will be setting my 1 stoploss traps and not taking any coon gear with. I will probably catch a few in the rat sets but not looking to catch that many. I am fleshing a few dozen for a friend right now and those caught the week b4 deer season look pretty good, with the exception of the tick bites which are pretty common on several of the older coons.

Catching a few rats through the ice the last few days. Walkable ice came before Thanksgiving and is still holding me on top despite the warm days we've had. Filled my otter tag today as well. Looking forward to colder weather as the ice is sketchy in places.

That would be some fun trapping in those marshes. Very good job guys. Amazing how much different habitat is from around the country.

bryce yeah i was surprised how many prime coon i was catching when i was trapping them early already almost a moth and a half ago by now haha crazy
