When I'm mixing in a five gallon bucket I've yet to find anything better than gauntlets. Nothing works any better for time or a nice consistent mix. If you just don't want to stick your hand in, even with gauntlets on, get a sausage mixer.

Nothing works any better for time or a nice consistent mix. ^^what he said...but I use cattle examination gauntlets, with a pr of skinning gloves inside....in case a gauntlet gets punched thru. Then toss them after using. They are only $9/100 at Southern States.

It would probably be advantageous to get food grade utensils, mixing blades, cutting boards, etc. They’re designed to give a consistent product without bleeding chemicals.
