Lol, I was thinking more of the promotional aspect: When you order your Skunky Backbreaker you will receive a free bag of Skunk Dirt. Store the new lure in it until time for use and when ready your free batch of Skunk Dirt is ready for use as a call lure and backing. Order now, operators are standing by!

Paul Received my Skunky Backbreaker in the mail. The scent was strong even though it was wrapped in dirt. I knew what it was when I opened the mailbox. I am sure my mail lady will have a comment. LOL

Paul, the Skunk Dirt connected today. The dirt was scattered to the four winds, but I relured with Skunky Backbreaker. Could the some do and done don't smell issue be residual odor on the hands wrapping the dirt?

Could the some do and done don't smell issue be residual odor on the hands wrapping the dirt? Congrats! I'm thinking the some do and some don't is more than likely attributable to the moisture content of the dirt. When the dirt has the right amount of moisture, it compacts better. Just a theory.

Could be. My last urine order I had to vacuum pack and store in Ziplocs until use, but it really cut down the odor.
The set this last yote was caught in had been worked the night I caught the big male Saturday. Last year I had a female near here who would check my sets out, mark near by, but never would commit the last few inches. So I moved the pan back this year quite a bit on this set. I may have to start bedding two traps.
Saturday, whatever worked that dirt hole committed and threw dirt all over the pan and I cleaned up the set some. My guess is these two were associated somehow, but that she's the one last year that kept sneaking in on my sets and leaving. She won't try that trick anymore!
It was interesting, she was 22.4 lbs. The female was caught 30 ft from where the male was caught. Both had bite marks on them, but hers were scabbing over. She had a litter of pups this year, and had two K9 teeth broke off near the gum line, with lots of yellowing and tarter build up. It took half an hour at least to get all the cuckle burrs out of her. Very matted but the hide improved dramatically when they were removed.
I'll be curious to see what I pick up on this property now that she is gone. The male was 27.5 lbs and a female from a few weeks ago was 26 lbs on this property. None had much fat on them and the first two had good clean teeth.
I'm hoping a few of her youngsters might come through carelessly.
But on the next order, the Skunk Dirt will certainly be used as backing again. Thanks!
