I have never desired to use my shotgun as I want little damage as possible.

My brother runs a 17 wsm and it blows foxes away. I was considering a 22-250 but a bolt action 6.5 creedmoor is around the same price

If you are wanting a dedicated predator rifle with little damage, donít get a creedmoor...if you are wanting something you could shoot coyotes and deer/antelope with the 243 is hard to beat. 22-250 is hard to beat for coyotes.

I use a single shot .22 long rifle. It is just the way I hunt. I like a challenge. 50 yards or less, it is more than sufficient. I take more pride in getting up close than blasting away at long range. Not for everyone, but I sure enjoy it...

If I could only have 1 rifle for calling, it would be a 17 rem.

In a contest I like my 300 win mag. 150 grain bullets. Shoots flat and bucks the wind good. For fur I like my 22 250 or 22 hornet. Hornet for fox.

As far as I am concerned-we have the winner right here!! I have sewed up literally thousands of Foxes and coyotes-there is no better centerfires for shooting fur than 17 Rem.

Ya all the 22 centerfires are great for killing coyotes, but as far as all around best round for calling-this is the bomb!!

Iíve killed a ton of coyote with the Winchester in 243 on the right but the o/u on the left is a 12ga. / 223 , very handy and good out to 300 yards.

Another vote for .222 Rem, it is good to 300 yds at least, and they DON't come out yet liquefy the boiler room....but so does my older .218 Bee, which is only 150 fps slower...so it is only good to 200 yds

.222 is is a fine cartridge but 300 yards is stretching it!

I would have to agree with bucks. I shot a triple deuce for a lot of years and in my hands anyway 200 yards is just about the limit with my old 700. Good gun donít get me wrong, it just drops like a rock after 200 yards.

17 Remington if you reload. Factory ammo marginal, hard to find, and expensive.
