Does blood at your set (from a dispatch) deter, scare, or make coyotes & foxes wary?

I caught a coyote Sun and because of a NOT so well placed shot I had blood everywhere but I remade the set and caught another one 2 days later, but I'm definitely no expert on the subject

I prefer not to have blood right where I make the set because it might cause the target to approach/investigate other than how I want. A couple of feet away and I don't care. Not usually a problem.

I clean any off that's on the trap if any gets on there then move the trap to a close by new area outside the circle if I have the time and weather permitting. If not I flick small amounts out of the circle and reset or bury it in the loose dirt at the set.
