Its beautiful country for sure, but the hardest thing is I have to walk to about all my sets, some I can get a atv too but not many. Its steep mountain land but it does hold a lot of bobcats

Same here. I've got the countryside landmined with cat sets but I have yet to pick one up. Some of my sets have been out for three weeks or so. I've got a few cat pics but they are not showing up at my sets and I'm about worn out from hiking and looking at empty traps. I don't know what the bobcat population density is for Maine, the state doesn't seem to know.

Nice cat!

Seems we have a really healthy population of bobcats, and coyotes here in the mountain but the foxes seem almost extinct around here. Good luck I'm sure your hard work will pay off

What kind of sets, traps and lure are you using? Flagging sets"

I caught both of these cats on dirthole sets with no flagging. I used weiser horsemeat predator bait at both sets and weisers bobcat gland lure at one and weiser coyote gland lure at the other, I've also caught 2 coyotes in the same sets the last 5 days. I only have 6 sets out so I've been really pleased with the weiser products, this is my first time using them

I'm setting up only where I have proof cats have been there. This guy passed by my camera twice two or three days apart. Haven't seen him since.

Hey, RM, what part of TN are you in? I haven't tried trapping in the mountains out here yet but am hoping to do some this year.
