I have a job catching a red fox. I plan on tucking the cage into tree branches and use a fried chicken wing w canned cat food. Dose this sound like it will work?

Doesnt sound like it will to me but i have never caged a fox. I would prob try red fox gland lure n red fox urine in the back with the floor of the trap covered being dirt or grass. Dont enclose trap as fox like to be able to see around normally

I'd use a regular predator bait, hung up in a lil cup, so its attention is up there and not on the treadle.
Dab a trail of bait scent every 6" or so from a few feet out front all the way to the motherlode/cup.
Make sure to work the wire into ground, covering wire.
I usually cover lightly, at least with some vines and such.
