Had anybody ever put 2 traps on one earthanchor? A couple spots i have the yotes coming up but not stepping on my trap. I want to add a second one but dont know how well it will work to put 2 traps on a single earth anchor

Yup I do it when the terrain allows an earth anchor. Also do it on my tie offs, especially if I'm making a walk through or walk through cubby.

Rivers, sometime a guy can't control where a coyote wants to step...2 traps just cuts down on the wait.

I believe it was a Major Boddicker study that showed that a catch rate increases by about 30% when 2 traps are used at a set. The setup in the study had the Hole at the top point of an equilateral triangle and the two traps, set at the other 2 points of that triangle.

Have used 2 at many sets , was just asking the op a question for the situation.

Depends on the soil. I use one anchor on two traps a lot. 90% are cat sets, but I have used it a few times on problem coyotes. I trap in real tight ground so I can get away with it. When I use one anchor for two traps I put a good bend in the stake.

The first there will spring both traps so it won't be any different then one trap on the earth anchor.
I wouldn't give it a second thought.

In shy away situations on yotes. I back away 2-3 feet and make a blind set. Look at the foot traffic, and put it in the ground. Make sure it’s blended good.

Bad things can happen when you do that. Swiveling is key. Ran this rig with zero problems. Lock washer is welded when complete.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

This works and have used it with a cable stake several times. Just add a second piece of cable through the loop and put traps on both ends. Most times the other trap get jerked to the other end and flipped. I has a cat in the trap on the left and it jerked the other one up to the tree and flipped it. I have had pull outs with 2 traps hooked together. Probably too much weight and they get all tangled up or sometimes caught in both . Give it a try and I have caught several digger coyotes
that way.

Waiting for his catch Picture... I'd set it that way with two for sure.

I had that set there earlier this year and got 3 dogs in 3 days and another one in a set that was about 50 ft away. Then i moved the line and was in a different area so i pulled it. Well now i go past there so i set it again. It must be a territorial area where they overlap because that place is solid yote tracks after ive already got 4 from there.

The very first pair of coyotes in this trailer are on one anchor. Andy's video is worth having.

I had put this picture on a couple years. Here's the cat. He was small and I let it go.

Here's a couple pictures from the hay bale today. It is almost gone and will have to move another old one in. It is good for a couple foxes and coons a year and this is the second cat and may be the same one grown up. He was a big tom for here. If you have a spot you can drop one off it should last several years and seems to be attractive all sort's of critters. Most farmers have old ones

around they will sell for a few bucks and just have them load it in your truck and roll it out in a place it stands outs. I had a coon and red fox in this last week. I did the remake with what hay is left into a walk through with powder river cat call, some mouse bait, and a little skunk in the back. I always put in cat urine but did not think it need any more cat smells today. It is set in the edge of the woods on a cattle trail with a creek in the back. I have another set about 10 yards out in the field with deer bait and usually some lure and it has been my best set for coyote and fox on the farm. I think the hay bale is helping pull them close to sniff around.
