Port Washington this morning looked like something out of a fantasy movie. I used to drive along Lake Michigan from Oak Creek to Cudahy for work each day. Used to love it in the winter time ... fog over lake, sunny overhead but cloudy over the lake. It was really neat. Fast forward 17 years and I live on the other side of the lake. Its not so neat anymore, 'cause those clouds get over here and open up as lake effect snow!

Would cross country ski in a regular basis after work along the lake. Between the steam of the lake, the clouds looking like mountains and jets lining up to land...was some of the most memorable sights.

Seeing the Duluth bridge brings back a lot of memories. Always liked going in there at night. The hillside was all lit up. Just a special place for some reason. Spent a year on the Edwin H. Gotta. Got to see that a few times. It's rare to be that thick
Don't do anything you don't want to explain to the paramedics. I do appreciate a good story tho.

Those are some beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting them and I see how the lift bridge works. I would imagine it is down almost all the time and is on a schedule for certain times for ships etc. to pass.

Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping. May I be half the man he was.
