With all of the record cold Temps across the US do you think fur demand start rising across the US? If these Temps keep steady I think people will start wearing more fur.

Yes i know Russia winters plays a big part of the demand and boom/decline of fur value.

Only if it's cold in Russia...

If it would get and stay cold like this in the south every winter you would see an increase in demand. Not near as many bunny huggers and us southerners like to stay warm.

Might be surprised. My better half been wearing hers over the holidays. Lots of likes and hints to hubbys. Didn't wear it once last year, to warm.

Americans don't and won't buy much fur and it is not the anti stigma for the most part it is just that fur in general is not part of our upper middle class and new wealthy culture. Now a better brand new phone, a new model car, a bigger and better house, a better cruise etc. yup were all in on that. We choose to isolate in our bigger homes and autos, where many other nations with middle classes don't have those and thus wearing fur while intermingling with other people is much more a fashion statement than it is here.

I couldn't keep track of how many fur trimmed coats and other fur items I saw during the NYE countdown on TV. Granted some were probably faux fur, but there were quite a few fur items every time they showed the crowd.

I have been to New York during December and near Christmas and yes going to plays there was a lot of fur and real fur. It is little to no wonder why many won't buy fur here if those of us who harvest the fur dis the eastern upper middle class that buys the fur. Why patronize a bunch of judgmental bashers?
