I sold a few furs to Groney last Thursday but I couldn't make it so had my 14 year old partner sell for us. To and mink were what I expected, but I .... caught. He gave him a buck for it, I would have let my dog chew on it before selling it for a buck. It's nice to know there are still buyers taking advantage of kids, just like when I was a kid out there selling . Is there a formal complaint process?

In the short time I've been around it seems like people complain more about Groenewald more than others. Why continue to sell to them?
Does WTA buy furs by chance? Does anybody remember a couple months back when they said they didn't want co on? I would be asking why all of the sudden I am seeing top $17.

I don't know, it just made me mad, if I was there maybe I could have talked him up a little or not sold it.

Fall, or early caught beaver today, are weighed and worth about $7-$8 per pound. Northern, winter caught blanket beaver with no holes and very few scars are worth $35, XL drop to $25+.

Hmmmmm. Am I reading this right?? A 20 pound beaver at $7-$8 per pound would be worth $140 to $160??

He means the dried hide.
I never weighed a dried beaver hide so I have no idea what the weight break down would be on different sizes. And I'm betting that any flaws In the leather or fur would make a difference In the final price.
