seniortrap trapper S Joined: May 2012 Posts: 5,898 michigan,USA	I left my house and didn't close the garage door. About 20-25 minutes later came back. I tried to close the door, nothing. I pulled the locking lever and manually pulled it down. Awhile later I went out, pulled the lock up and hit the power button. The chain moved into place, locked and good to go. Apparently the cold and warm garage frosted the electric eye. Works fine. What with the single and below temps, the cause is figured. Vietnam--1967 46th. ack trapper Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,881 Ohio, Old fart to some.	when really cold some of the pivot points can freeze hard enough that the resistance will set off the pressure switch when closing. just grab the door and add some weight and see if it closes. if it does then lube all points that pivot. also some times the lenses get dirty. _________ I used to have superpowers… but a therapist took them away. The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!

I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.
