Has anyone ever purchased the refurbished cartridges for HP printers? Specifically the HP 61 cartridge. If so how did they work for you?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

We purchase a lot of remanufactured Oki data toner cartridges for many years. They recommend not using anything but OEM products but they are way too costly to buy compared to other after market cartridges.

I don't know if you are using ink or toner types. Ours work as advertised.

Those are the same cartridges I use. I've only bought new and I just paid $35.00 for a two-pack (one black, one tri-color cartridge).

I'll be watching this thread.

Eh...wot?

I have a HP printer that uses the HP 61 cartridge. About a year ago I purchased the refurbished ones from Dillonno 1 printing supplies for about $15 for two of the XL cartridges. They have worked flawlessly. I recently reordered as my second one from a year ago is about empty. I have not had a need to order the tri color refills ( not sure if they even sell them). For the price, you can't go wrong.

Providing wild fur to the industry at below the cost of production for over 50 years.

Mostly carbon neutral since 1948.

I tried the refurb cartridges years ago & found they didn't seem to be filled w/ as much ink (they didn't last very long). With that being said, new cartridges ain't cheap!

Before I made this post I was searching eBay, that is why I asked the question. I could get a pack of two for around $15 and free shipping, the seller's rating was 97.5% and he had over 47,000 feed backs so that would be a lot of negative ratings. Jeff my printer is a HP Deskjet 1512, could I use the 61 XL cartridge in it?

That's what it calls for the 61 or 61 XL

The best thing I ever did was get rid of my inkjet printer and replace it with a laser jet. My old hp printer worked well, but what steamed me was if any of the color inks were empty it wouldnt even print black. The ink is just way too expensive compared to the toner a laser printer uses. I bought a refurb Brother laser printer for $55 on Amazon with the same 1 yr warranty as the new one ($110). A monochrome laser printer only prints in black, which is all I need anyway. But the $$ savings is in the ink or toner. For $11 (amazon) I picked up two replacement toner cartridges that will print over 6000 pages. Plus the starter toner that came with the printer will do around 1000 pages. If you need color copies for some reason, go to kinkos. Another benefit of a laser jet is they dont plug up from non use like inkjets will.
