When my eyes could still see open sites I loved my old Browning auto. I now use a Ruger 77/22 with Leupold rimfire scope. It has taken hundreds of limb rats.

Nylon 66 when I was growing up, thing was a rabbit, squirrel, and trapline machine.

Now I have a cricket single, trapline workhorse for us. Neat little single hasn't let us down yet.

My other fav .22 is a Marlin midget magnum takedown .22 mag, I've had that since 80s and it is a nice coyote killer. I put a four power scope on mine using 1" rings with .22 receiver grooves. Awesome fun gun and accurate for a long ways out with CCI maxi mags jacketed hollows.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Still like my Savage mod.24. 22 mag over 20 gauge. Has killed more critters then all my other guns combined.

My first and favorite trapline rifle was a Colt Lightning .22 slide action. It was given to me by one of my Dad's friends who was an old tanker that served under Patton. He said every boy should have a .22 rifle when he gave it to me. It still travels with me in my truck.

I've priced them debating on picking one up for my son. They run around $600 nowadays. I probably paid less than $200 for either of the ones I owned. One had the selector knob on the side and the other was on the hammer. Both were wood stocks. They came in some type of plastic stock as well.

My dad had one of those when I was just a kid, we're talking fifty years ago. Apache Black. Don't know whatever became of it.

Winchester model 37 .410 was dad's first and mine. That gun killed a ton of squirrel, rabbit, quail, dove, and few woods before it got stolen.
I miss it dearly.

Ruger 10-22 but now a S+W MP 15-22. It is a favorite of the grand kids. Costs me a lot of ammo.

Ithaca M49 22 looks like a conventional lever action repeater with 18 inch barrel. Used both raccoon hunting and dispatching. Present from my father.

Was a nylon 66 (sorry I traded it 30 yrs ago), is currently a savage heavy barrel .17 hmr with leupold 3x9, or marlin .22 mag with same scope. Both shoot almost minute of eye at 50 yards. BUT, I am currently looking at a new CZ bolt action that gets me thinking of cool sunrises , oak ridges, and falling leaves.

Remington Model 510 Single shot. My Dad bought it for me for Christmas 1955. Still have it and another just like it.
