I really like the dogless, caught a nice red fox friday, real deep

i do find them tricky to lighten poundage. Any tips.....although I guess i higher poundage the deeper the catch.

Has anyone used the wolf creek dog on traps, how do they compare, what do u pefer.

Anyone laminate jaws yet

I wasn't going to 4 coil mine, but I'm not one to leave anything alone. I ended up using the Taos Lightening Spring Kit#7. Its the same kit used for Northwoods and Bridger #2s. It makes them pretty tuff to set but doable, They were fast before but now they are dangerous. I hope not to get my hands caught in these while in the woods or I might be stuck for a while.

Got my new #3 Dogless today. I had one that took about 10 minutes of work before I could even set it, but the others were working fine right outta the box. I usually dont modify traps too much but I will put a bubble on the jaw tips. Pan tension is pretty high, which I really like. I dont plan on base plating or adding extra springs because I think they will hold any coyote just the way they are. Overall, it seems like a good trap and I look forward to using them.

Glenn's a great guy and has a good product, andkeeps his prices modest to boot. I Met him at the National Trappers Convention in pennsylvania couple years ago.I won a bunch of DP's from him on a photo contest.

When setting them hold one lever down with your knee and the other with one hand, then reach under the loose jaw with your free hand and push the pan up until it catches. That's how I set my dogless traps. Than way if it goes off for some reason you hand is not between the jaws. Happy trapping.
