One thing he did that made it harder is don't pull the front part all the way off. Hold it by the back legs and grab the skin on the belly. Then pull, it can be done in under a minute if some one holds the legs when you first start.

Speaking of old squirrels,Santa brought our family an Instant Pot,has anyone pressured squirrels in one? Mom used to make OLD squirrels fall off the bone with a pressure cooker.

Nope, never heard of it, but I do put the fox squirrels in the pressure cooker for about 20-25 mins.

I pressure cook them 50 minutes (after quartering, and yes I keep the back with the loins in it) after they are done, roll them in flour and fry golden brown, make gravy in the skillet (brown flour gravy) add squirrel back into gravy as it starts to thicken, and your taters are about done. don't get no better!

I do mine differently, but don't forget to save the tails to sell to Mepps.

Side cutters and a sharp knife. Like in the video. Too easy.

I clamped 2 pieces of 1/4' x 1" about 6" long flat bar in a pair of vise grips and welded each to the respective vg jaw. Then welded 2 chain links on the sides of the handle for a ratchet strap to go through. Strap it to a post or tree. Clamp on the back feet. I cut around the middle and use catfish skinning pliers to pull the skin down to the head and off the front legs. Cut off head and front feet.. Grip on front legs and do the same. Gut while hanging, and throw it in a pan of water.

Me too, I think I know a couple of dogs that would be happy for the invite.Owners cant get out in the woods like they used to and feel bad that the only squirrels they see are through the window.

I've botched skinning them more times than I care to admit.

I make a cut across the middle of the back. Cut the tail and feet off with tree pruners and pull the skin off

Once skinned, I like to get the glands out of them. They have a nasty brown colored gland under each armpit that can easily be removed with your thumb. Also, like deer, they have a gland in their hams. With some practice you can cut it out before you quarter him up if your putting him in the frying pan.

Their guts are awesome catfish bait; especially when the water temp cools in the winter. Big blue and channel cats hit them hard in the rivers and creeks.
