It reminds me of Wildroot Cream Oil......Charlie. If you are old enough to remember that stuff for your hair you might remember how it smelled. If you are old enough to remember it you just may not have any hair any more.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Even if I knew the secret ingredient, I'd not post it. Asa is on this site, and he might kick my butt, lol.

I love the stuff!!

It is easy to use and definitely makes a difference when I use it.Had a guy trap the same area and the same water I do each and every year.Ran into him at NAFA open house this year and we had a good chat.He asked why I always catch way more rats than he does even though we do the same thing.I just chuckled a bit.He uses NO lure at all and I use Lennon's Muskrat All Call.simple as that!

Now I know there will be some nay sayers-which is fine.Just stating what I have witnessed over the last 10 years or so of trapping with the same method on the same bodies of water.Lure vs. No Lure.I won't trap rats without it anymore with the method I use-with exception to colony traps and interior rat trapping in houses of course.

I don't trust you. LOL

Meet me In the Dakotas and set right next to me and see who skins the most rats. Never sell rat lure short.

Asa has good lures, no doub't about that!

I'm with Beav, i've caught many rats and mink without lure, but it sure does up your catch when used.

Typical rat trapping scenario.

You have 200 yards of ditch The trapper walks the ditch bank looking for dens pull outs feed beds and toilets. The trapper sets one trap at each location. I do the same thing but I add 1 or two may 3 traps In close proximity to these text book locations using lure. The one and gone trapper Is only going to catch one critter but the beav has some back up traps to take any other visitors.
Then there maybe lots of bank that dosen't have these text book locations. So the trapper passes this area up not the beav He gang sets every thing. in most cases the rats are swimming along that bank so you might as well have traps set and ready. And lure will get It done for you.
You want to catch every rat In that ditch as fast as you can and then move on to other locations. lure Is just another tool In the tool box.

Hudson seal Is also a top rat catcher.

Totally agree on the above thoughts. Hudson seal is an old Carmen lure. I have used a lot of commercial lures and Hudson seal was the best I ever used.
