Does anyone else have this problem? I clean the dang thing up, tell myself "this time" I am gonna keep it neat and organized. Before long I start slipping and BOOM it looks like this again!!!! Guess I will clean it up again and start the same ol' routine over! Maybe we need to have a cluttered shop contest?

Looks like mine except 2 skunks not grinners~ LOL A 30X50 steel building I can fit 1 truck in it sometimes not even that without a cleaning.

Mines pretty bad right now, however I think you got me beat. I think the blood your tracking around the floor would definitely trigger a somethings gotta give response in me.

You can still walk in it without climbing on top of stuff, so it's not that cluttered. Our garage needs cleaned out bad. My 5 barns need straightened up too.

Where's the mess? You can see all the way to the back wall! Looks ok to me. If you clean it up too much, next thing you know the wife or kids will wanna use some of that space.

I might give you a run for your money Petey....no pics though, not sure I want to even document the destruction. I'm waaaay overdue for a cleaning, but can't find the time. Truck looks and smells pretty bad too!

Man, you guys are killing me. I can’t even leave anything but a beer sit on the bench without getting a nervous twitch. I also Clorox and clean/sweep after every night I finish skinning/fleshing/stretching.

Thanks for posting it makes me feel better about my shop and garage! I simply dont have enough room, no matter how organized it is, it is still too cluttered for my liking.

i swear my buddy that buy's fur only empties his fat room every other year.

The lawn chair is set up so my wife can sit there and watch me skin coyotes!

Both are cluttered at my place! But why can't I remember anything? lol

Once I clean up my skinning room,I cant find anything,lol.

I've been using the time off of work to get a little early spring cleanup done.

I'm sure I'll have it nice and organized just in time to destroy it when I start trapping beaver.

The only thing that bothers me in those photos is somebody opened the bag of OL' Roy dog food from the bottom. Why would somebody do that? We are trying to keep things in order here....

Your garage looked fine until I saw the two possums and thought now that just looks trashy.

Way to go Rendezvous the place just looks like you could enjoy doing some trapping chores in there. Those other photos a guy could get hurt moving around in the mess.

I guess everyone on here can see why I start asking you around the first of February if you will have a place big enough cleaned out by the last of March to get my boat in there when your mother and I come down for two weeks crappie fishing..

I'm betting no one sits in that lawn chair without a hazmat suit on. Then again I hear some people get excited wearing those.

I clean mine every summer. During the cold of winter is when it starts to accumulate(no heat). Rendezvous that is the once in the shop lifetime finished product.

The only fur I had put up was rats and beaver, my fur buyer preferred to buy fur green. Getting up in age and limited by health issues, I wanted to take care of a few goals on my "Bucket List". I finally put up Raccoon, possum, fox and mink. I also caught and put up coyote, ermine and fisher that were on that "Bucket list". This season my truck wasn't able to pass inspection and not considered road worthy. I wound up waiting over a month for a cap for the new truck. I didn't trap this year due to lack of truck and then cap, I am not comfortable leaving some gear in the truck while making sets, I have been ripped off before. I did managed to catch a skunk in the yard, on purpose. I did the whole process; defunking, skinning, fleshing, boarding and removing the essence. That was way up on the "Bucket List"! If God willing and able, I will might try for Marten, Bobcat and Otter this upcoming season.
The boards are still pretty clean, due to... I don't set many traps due to health reasons, I also wash most of my fur before fleshing. The PVC fleshing beams might help also, I wipe them down regularly with clorox wipes and degrease as needed.


The Beaver Table skinning top is all seal and gets wiped down regularly also.

Swa dust/shavings and cardboard helps keep thing clean, that and my OCD too.

I have been avoiding coon, work and little value, concentrated on other goals.




In short do I trap? Yes, but for enjoyment!

I must say that my shop looks like yours AFTER cleaning! And it hasn't been cleaned in about four years. I always tell my wife to notice what comes OUT of the shop rather than what is in it!

Finally, a contest I can win. I have to think about posting pics first though. Its embarrassingly bad.

Mine is small, 10 x 16, cluttered bad now but it’s too cold to fuss with. Maybe in May, naw July, August? We’ll see.
