My favorite "John Wayne" movie was the remake of True Grit starring Jeff Bridges. X2 What other movies do you ladies like??

I always liked the shootist, knowing he made that in his condition and the story line of old guy dying of cancer himself. Jim

Finster, you caused a lot of trouble this morning, might have got somebody killed... and somebody oughta belt you in the mouth. But I won't, I won't. The (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) I won't! "I call that bold talk for a one eyed fat man."

There is over 100 movies and I don't think I have seen a bad one when I say that I don't mean acting I mean his movies were about making men out of boys showing men how to be a man something you don't see anymore that said the 3 godfathers.
No matter where you go there you are.

Hondo. I love all of his westerns have watched all of them hundreds of times. Based on the responses so far this is probably blasphemy but I like his war movies better than his westerns. In either case, his movies were great.

In either case, his movies were great. You're right.... Blasphemy! He was good in "The Longest Day" even though he didn't really have a lead roll.

I have read from a couple of different sources that when John Wayne started his acting career, he styled himself after Wyatt Earp who had become a friend of his. How young is this country?
