Pulling those logs out of the river gives new meaning to the term "dry" wood!

I'll watch it again but really think doing a new video with sound track by Senator Kid rock would be the way to go.

Our King run has been awesome this year, they lifted the restrictions and we have a huge escapement,so no more subsistence restrictions, hopefully we get to commercial fish them again soon.

Got this one the other day ,still dime bright this late.
(I like it when one fish makes one case.)

Great news Yukon Jeff. Hopefully enough of those fish make it to Dawson that they can have a fishery this year. Trump on Office one year and stuff already getting better.

Could be, They are now letting us sell the incidental kings caught while chum fishing, most of the kings are past here by now though.
Paying $5 a lb ! good fishing next year for them, I hope.

Yes we only use the dipnets in June when the majority of the King run is passing. The intention was so we could release Kings. By mid July we are using nets again for the rest of the summer, and all fall fishing.

Oh, and we got our first hard frost here yesterday.

Yes you are correct, they are Cloudberries not Salmonberries, but they got named wrong here in western AK and it stuck.

I believe true Salmonberries are high bush and grow in the S/E. I ate them in Cordova on Hawkins Island once (I think).
