Let’s see, southeastern states have gators, red, brown, and black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, copperhead snakes, eastern diamondback rattlesnakes, timber rattlesnakes, pigmy rattlesnakes, and coral snakes. I would also be treading lightly around the garden and ponds (and swamps, woods and fields).

What about the cottonmouths?
