Snared this old boy today. Only three paws left and the one missing was healed over. Snared and shot a hand full of these over the years and I am amazed by their toughness and how healthy they usually look.

They are amazing. I’ve caught them with not a hair on their body in 0 degree temps. Crazy tough

Everything the left touches it destroys

Good chance a bullet did it
One truck group shot one missing front on one side and a back foot on other, it learned to run on two legs!

I hit 1 with my car once, pretty hard it seemed. Got out and looked all over. It was gone, must have kept running. Crazy tough.

This female outran 3 other yotes getting to the call. The entire leg and about 1/4 of the shoulder blade was gone. Totally healed and she was fat as a coon. They are tough critters

Caught this tripod this year. He was in better shape than I would be if I lost a leg!

When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.

Caught this marten in a remote part of Alaska yesterday,... and he had to climb a tree about 5 feet off the ground to get caught. Perfectly healthy, fully healed-over stump.

A couple years ago, I had lost a black wolf out of an Alaskan #9, which was a first for me,... then several months later got it again, along with a blue & a grey. The rear leg had already healed over. I think I have caught a 3-legged specimen of every variety of furbearer in Alaska over the years,... it is amazing how tough & adaptable these critters can become.

nice catch. I caught one similar this week, right front foot only had the heel pad, no toes and it was completely healed over. I had seen his tracks before, they looked like a coyote with a walking stick lol
