Red Mt, that ain't a good coyote?
Well here's the scoop!!, The days of easy access in northwest ND and northeast Mt are basically gone.
I've lost 1000' s of acres access because of word of high coyote prices. And these are ranches that used to call and beg me to come out and shoot!
Things are changing!

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Heck, if you looked at my coyote collection this year you’d swear I trapped in four different states from KS to the Canuck border!

And they were all killed within 100 miles of home.

Quality can vary year to year as well.

Kill a dandy type one year, the next year that area produces turds. And vice versa.

No matter where you go in the “true west”, be prepared to be overwhelmed with endless acres of prime coyote habitat with very few coyotes in it.

To answer the question though.

South Central ND probably has the best balance of high numbers and quality as just about anywhere in the country.

Not saying parts of SD, NE, and even KS don’t produce a nice coyote, some regions do. And they all most certainly have the edge in population density.

Alot of ranchers and friends of family keeping it to themselves or someone trapping it already been loyal over the years.
But as soon as the money is out of it, it will be back to normal and nobody will want to trap them or shoot them.
Money has a strange effect on most people.

Yes, non-residents can trap coyotes in Mt.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement!

Here in Laramie and around this area they very in Quality the high elevation dogs for the most part are silky and pale you get down low a lot are not so good. Tough at times to get permission and I have been here along time. Some of the public lands to not have a lot of coyotes for a lot of reasons no cover, predator control like you have never seen. People shoot coyotes 365 days of the year and have calling contests and bounties. Red MT, cats in Wy are off limits to cats unless the non resident who buys a license lives in a state that allows trapping for cats to a non resident. So if your from Montana which does not allow non residents to trap cats no cat trapping.

The biggest roadblock most trappers have is the one inside their head.

The #1 thing is you can't be afraid to NOT put up braggable numbers or make money. It happens. I don't care how much experience you have, or how much you spend for one on one lessons, or how many video's you watch. It happens. Anybody who says otherwise is lying.

You CAN avoid losing money with good preparation. Just not always. I'm sitting here recovering from pneumonia. I was 800 miles from home a week ago. Got sick kept pushing myself. That was a mistake. I think I'll be alright money wise but I had to leave a lot of fur and come home. You just never know.

No substitution for experience. You have to do it.

Don't get in your own way because of doubt or fear. Go have yourself an adventure. We all have a limited time to live. If your lucky enough to live till your old some good adventure memories will make you smile when its hard to run more than a half dozen sets.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
