I have a couple of Coyotes I have no time to skin right now. I double bagged them, and put them in my deep freezer along with a deer cape, and a lot of deer meat. The coyotes don't really smell very strong, and I could barely smell anything through the garbage bag I put it in. I had a couple of people on Facebook telling me that I am going to spoil my deer meat. Anyone have any experience with that? If it comes down to it, I would way rather throw the Coyotes out than have questionable meat. Reckon they will be alright for a week or so when I can skin them? I would have just skinned them today, but I was busy, and I will be out of town for a few days this weekend.

The meat will be fine. I have a freezer I use for my meat that is used mostly for just my food. I also put fur in it. My meat always taste just fine.

I use the same deep freeze for fur as I use for my food. Those people are crazy. Your meat will be fine.

Just don't store skunks in the food freezer and you are ok...

Wish I had more time to trap....

If meat was wrapped proper it should not be an issue.

It takes days to thaw a coyote that has been in a zero degree freezer for weeks.

I think those people smelled dog on their wrapped meat and wigged out thinking it was contaminated LOL

I've had froze with my meat just about everything that should have smelled into it, and nothing ever tasted like the smell on the outside of it.

I would not worry about it really !
