Any thoughts on best way to store snares in off season. I normally coil them up in a 5 gallon pail. Could this add any unwanted memory in them or is it better to uncoil them and lay them out flat or hang from swivel end?
Also I use senneker springs and have them compressed with triggers. Is it hard on the springs to leave them compressed all summer? Thanks for your thoughts.

I'm wondering the same thing.

I leave mine coiled in a 5 gallon bucket and they seem to be just fine next season. I don't know about the senneker springs but a modern well made spring of any sort should be fine if stored compressed.

Yup. As long as they don't get kinked I think you're fine. I just hang mine from the snare end on S-hooks in the shop.

I think #1 requirement is air curation to assure cable dries to core.

I store mine coiled in 6" coils and stored in plastic water softener bags according to lengths with red cedar needles.
