I agree, other than the fur being what it is I think the mount is awesome. Simply some people are always going to complain.
I'd had it mounted in a heartbeat and would have been happy with it the way it was done.

If you are not happy with the tail there is only wire in it so you can bend it any which way you want. Wish I had a dark one like that.

Taking quality pictures of taxidermy mounts is a challenge. Trying to capture what the eye sees in person is not as easy as it would seem. I would never judge a mount strictly by a picture like that.

That's about what I was going to post but you saved me the time. The body looks too long and the tail doesn't look natural. Other than that it doesn't look bad. No doubt it was a beautiful coyote but I see very few coyote mounts that I think are flawless.

No jealousy at all here. The man posted a picture of a mount on a trapping forum. When that happens people share their opinion of the mount, some like it and some don't. Kinda like fat women.

No need to take sides or offense.
Everyone sees things thru different eyes. Some may pay billions, I wouldn't give one penny for the Mona Lisa.

I have trail cam pictures of a black coyote behind my house a couple months ago. I'm hoping to catch him and if in decent condition I will get it mounted.

A fat woman is like a moped. Fun to ride but you don't want your buddies to see you riding it.

Finally went and picked him up from the taxidermist today, now if I can figure out somewhere to put it. My 3 yr old is already combing his hair and talking about how good a dog he is. Lol

I sold two wy bobcat to my wife's cousin in mpls, his friend mounted both of them, one for Bruce and one for himself, the pretty blue back tom was the one Bruce had his friend do, I was at his house couple years later, he said there's the bobcat, I looked up and about puked! The guy didn't even get the eyes straight, I said ya I see!

Looks good in the last two picks. I think the first picture the shoulder disappeared into the shadow of the neck making the neck look really long.
