I Am Planning On tanning A Couple of Beaver tails to make a knife sheath From but am not sure how. I Read A Few Articles On It And Skinned, Fleshed, And Salted Them, But Not Sure What To Do Next. Any Advice? Thanks

Bark tan them if you want to tan them yourself. You will have to look up bark tanning and go from there it is simple but entails more explaining than I will do here. Most any bark will do but color will vary widely depending on what you use. Birch or oak bark will give you a lighter colored leather. Hemlock will give you a darker leather. I like darker. Do your research.

To elaborate a bit, you boil shredded or chopped tree bark to make a "tea" then soak the beaver tails in the tea. The tannins in the tea 'tan' the tail and turn it into leather. Really very simple, but again do a little research. Boiled bark "tea" is what traps are boiled in when dying them with logwood chips and yes, logwood chips could be used to tan beaver tails.
