Working on raising the seat on my bravo. Seat is off, cover off seat. Have been draining and squeezing water out of it for a week. Still not dry. I have a front load washer. I could cram it in and put the machine on spin.
Is that workable? How about in the dryer?
Looking for a different material to cover it. Howlers seat looked good. What kind of material was that, Howler? Where can you get good fabric, like a cordura?

Mt, I begin the drying process by sandwiching the seat foam between a two pieces of 3/4” ply with my truck parked on it. Then hang it over the wood stove for a few days to a week. If you were in a hurry you could rent dehumidifier and tent the two with visqueen.

Mine was a fabric that a friend of mine makes wing covers for airplanes and such. Really good tough stuff.

I say go with a new piece of foam. or at least a piece on top of the old one. Thick cushion means cush ride!! You need to get some pretty dense foam however or it just compresses. Places like JoAnne Fabrics handles it.
did you check back on the other post. I updated it with photos of my bravo Box

The seat foam is in good shape, just was wet and a little smelly!! I have squeezed, by hand, hung to drip, and had it in the drier for a total of 90 min. on medium. Getting pretty dry. The foam isn't ripped. Prefer to leave it as is and recover.
Not wanting to use vinyl. Rips and hard to fix. What is the Texhyde, Len? Have you tried it?

Heavy canvas makes a good seat cover.

Sorry no I have not tried it.
Bravos are not known for their suspension. Added foam is way worth it trust me. add 4 inches min. ;0)

Got the seat mod done today. Shortened the foam a little, reused the black vinyl seat cover. Attached seat to a sturdier piece of 3/8 plywood. Went with a 3 in. rise. Had it out today and I like it. Need a larger extension on the windshield now.
Pic is the seat and the plywood. I'll get some pics of the finished product tomorrow. Didn't turn out quite how I wanted it but have another bravo to mod also.

This bravo I just modded is a 2012 I think. Came w/o hot grips. I installed grips but took the power off the headlight wire. When hot grips are on (3 pos. switch with low, high, off) light is noticeably dimmer. Where else can I wire in the hot grips?
