Looking at doing a trip in June and wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a guide in the Venice area. Likely inshore only.

Cant help you in that area....but dont go anywhere near Keith Covey or World Wide Fishing Guide. I know he's advertising some in that area. He's a crook of the highest order, and if he ever gets your credit card info you will have to cancel it. Got us and a bunch of others big time, but he's still operating.

You'd be wise to Google LouisianaFishingForum or LaFishandHunt or anything like that and join and ask there.

I ALWAYS join 2 of the state outdoors forum to ask the locals for guiding info.

I second Captain Boola. Went last year and have him booked again this April. We are doing two days offshore and 1 day inshore this year. Great times!!!

Been to Venice lots of times tuna chasing. It is literally the end of the world. Nothing to do except fish and look at oil rigs. Love it down there though, almost like a different planet. Make sure to visit Venice Marina and look at the Mexican Gulf Fishing Fleet. Beautiful boats.

We were down there last year at this time of year and was very happy with Super Strike charters.

You guys nailed that when you said Reel Tite Fishing was gonna be good. Just got back from NOLA after going out last Saturday with Capt. Rock and let me tell you the action was fast, hot, and nonstop at times catching redfish. I finally gave in about noon and called it a day while catching fish on every cast because of my back. We limited for the day on reds,caught several sheephead and kept one really nice one, and the wife even caught a gator accidentally. I told her I could use use a new pair of boots but was out of luck on that deal.
We had a blast and I’m hooked. I hope to get back and fish again with them.
