Anyone like trump card games? My favorites are Hearts and Beau Ray, a betting game based on match the pot.
Of course, you can bet in Hearts too. Penny a point or some such.

Double Pinochle. It's been awhile. Not an easy game to learn, but easier than passing the tman grammar test Learned from Korea war vets that played for a dollar a point. And yuker (sp?), the WW2 vets played for drinks. No betting for me, Grandmas strict rule BHS.

Hoss is an awesome game hippie.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I know that this wasn't the orig intent of the thread, but much like politics I am way off track. FYI. Most of these games are based off of bridge. If you don't play bridge, think of it as an advanced game of Bid Euchre. The difference between bridge and Euchre is that you purposely bid to tell your partner what you have and can work it out ahead of time. i.e. if I bid 1 No Trump (going high card in Euchre) it means that I have something then you my partner bids knowing that I have that. i.e. knowing I have a lot of face cards. When it comes back around I can bid 2 hearts and then you know that I have a lot of face cards in hearts. Everyone bids twice in bridge. Its legal table talk with your partner. "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The forcing notrump is a bidding convention in the card game of bridge. In Standard American bidding, the response of 1NT to an opening bid of 1 heart; or 1 spade; shows 6 to 9 high card points (HCP) and is non-forcing."
