I'm thinking of sending weasels to Moyles now that I have collected enough for the volume discount. I'm a little worried that the way they punch code mink and marten in the lower back could cause damage I don't want on my weasels. Anybody here have experience with having weasels tanned at Moyles and how did they turn out? Thanks!

I do not send anything small as a weasel but I use some type of tag or zip tie system on everything I send. Our fox have a state tag and otter and bobcats have CITES that are all serialized. I have serialized tags that I use for skull ID on skulls I clean. I use some of them on coyotes. For coon or other smaller critters, I will use a certain color zip tie.
I always record all of the serial numbers and color codes on my packing slip when I send them and I keep a copy until the fur comes back. Have not had a problem so far.

Not to hijack the thread but does Moyles have a minimum number of pelts they'll receive before they'll do business with an individual? No, but the price improves tremendously with some species if you send over 21 skins of the same species. For example: weasel 1 skin $13.50, weasels 21-99 skins $6.00 per.
