Can someone tell me if pine gum/tar in a bobcat hide will deduct price? If it does what is the best remedy besides butter to get it out?

Pitch in fur according to the professional graders at FHA and NAFA will not be a downgrade, unless the underfur is matted tight to the skin.In other words if it is only guard hairs on the surface that have pitch,it will come out in the drumming, and it will not affect the grade.
Trying to remove it from the guard hair may pull out some guard hair and this will be a downgrade same as a clip.
Best to leave it in place. For a tight pitch matt in the underfur,it can be cut out of the skin and the resulting hole in the pelt can be sewn up.The sewn hole may get by the grader but if not it will be the same downgrade as the pitch matt in the first place.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Spritz it with a little acetone and it will dissolve.

Yeah I was going to say WD-40 as well, Never used it on fur ,but it's all I use to get pine sap off the trucks and everything else.
