I have a chance to buy roughly 50 used traps with quite a few stakes. Most look like victor traps. Any idea on value?

Thanks for the help, I didn't see anything unusual in the pile just a good amount of average traps.

Looks like a lot of jump traps in there, you might pull them out or reduce the offer because of them. Maybe some people still use them but I sure don't like them. I don't use them and they are hard to sell.

I'd pay 150 for that pile, cause I'd turn around and sell them.

$200.00 is probably a bit too much. As others have said, lots of jumps in the group plus # 2 square jaw coils. You wouldn't be overnight paying at $200.00 but $150.00 would be better.

$100.00 would be "a steal".

A lot of junk in that pile. A lot of work to get them even looking nice enough to resell for much profit, let alone to use yourself. I'd be hoping there's another 5 of those monty dogless under the pile.

:edit: upon closer inspection it looks like there may be several #4 jump and #4 DLS in there, if that is the case $150 is a more fair price to the seller, though if they took my $100 offer I'd still feel alright about it.

Those #2 Victor Or B&L Square Jaws Are Worth $5.00 All Day Long.

Looks Like #3 Double Longs Which Are Worth $8.00 To $10.00 Each.

I see #2 Montgomery Dogless Step-In's Which Are Worth $6.00 Each.

#3 Victor Jumps Are $7.00 To $8.00 Each.

#4 Victor Jumps Are $11.00 To $12.00 Each.

Some Of Those #2 Montys Dogless Step-In's Look Like High Levers.

The #1.5 Victor Coils Are Worth At Least $3.00 each.

There's $20.00 Worth OF Stakes There @ #1.00 Apiece

I Still Think These Are Worth More Than $100.00.

No Less Than $150.00 Unless You Are A Shameless Theif.

I Wouldn't Offer Less Than $175.00.

Making an offer under $175 would not make you a thief at all ,that’s a broad statement.

She ended up wanting 350$ for the entire pile, I told her to let me know if she comes down on price. Thanks for all the help.

Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug. Either way you end up with bug guts on you.

$350 is way too high.

200$is a good price that's only 4$per trap average.
Now if they were your used traps ????
Then again it is your money spend it as you see fit.

Ill give an example of my theory on investing in traps. I can justify spending $300 for 3 average traps because once they all make one catch im in the profit and the traps will continue to catch fur for me. Pretty extreme example but pretty much how i look at it. Id rather not pay that much but traps will pay themselves off and continue to catch.
