Thought it was about time to get my 75 year old eyes repaired. I had the cataract removed in my right eye yesterday. It will take a while for it to heal. Getting adjusted to living with the cloudiness in that eye will be a challenge.. Today's post-op check by the doctor said all went perfect. When this eye is back to normal, I plan on having the left eye done.

I will be stopping by as best I can with one eye working.

Jonathan

Glad to hear your doing well after the procedure.Do you think it will make a difference in your photographic endeavours?

Good for you! Had mine done a few years ago. First time I didn't need corrective lenses since I was six.

Jonathan,

Glad you had that treated !

As we can appreciate the value of our eyes, in so many lovely things in life.

Just do what is directed in your healing, and please dont get too anxious and push it too soon.

Taking care of our eyes is so vital.

Anymore, this surgery is very successful.

You will feel brand new again looking through the lens of your eyes and the camera.

Take good care out there in the cold.

See you on the surface .

Had mine done last fall. Kind of miss my old photogray glasses with no line bifocal. Now I have to carry reading glasses and sun glasses. I also have a floater in one eye.

I have cataracts and floaters both. Just reading glasses here.

I hope the second one goes as well as the first Jonathan.

Thank you for the kind words and comments.

I was able to see well enough to drive a short distance along the lake yesterday. Once I could find a few ducks in the camera viewfinder with my left eye, the focusing became automatic. At least I can continue camera birding.

I had cataracts a few years ago and they replaced my eye lenses. No issues, except for needing reading glasses now. But it's nice waking up able to see.

I was surprised at how much cleaner and brighter everything looked, without the yellowish tint from the cataracts.

Had to pay $1k extra for a toric lens because of astigmatism.

I was lucky, only kid out of six that didn't need glasses, I had real good long distance vision, helped me be a good fox hunter
When I was young I had no sunglasses, I been wearing Oakley's for 20+ years now, hope they help
