Just dipped my traps it's pretty warm here little worried about the smell. It says 24 hours before use any body got experience with this was wanting to get them out tomorrow. Not very confident right now, good and bad stuff in the archives.

I don't know that I have set traps 24 hours after FMJ but I have after 48 or 72 and have experienced no trouble catching coyotes right off the bat. Just set them....you will be fine.

If it's warm like you say and you can keep some air circulating you'll be fine.

Thanks guys, I guess I will give it a try and see what happens. I'm changing properties tomorrow and use some with it and some without.

I’m not sure on scent. I dont get too hung up on scent like some people do. Might have something to do with my low catches lol. But at the same time, coyotes around here seem to be more “use” to people scent. Caught one that smelled like straight dog food. Think he had been robbing the neighbors dog food right off the porch. I really like FMJ, the only thing I noticed with it is it turns “milky” with water traps. Oops. If it was me, I’d be setting as soon as it dried around here if I needed to. I think your idea of some with and some without would be a good way of knowing for your own conditions.
